Details · Small Obsessions

MOREL’S
CAPSULE

A small personal cabinet de curiosités: details, objects, gestures, clothes, scents, places and small obsessions. Not a list of things to own, but fragments of a personal taste.

Not everything has to be important.
Sometimes it is enough for it to have something to say.

How I wear it

Real objects, real combinations. Not how they should be worn: how I wear them.

Chosen objects

A signature does not make an object interesting. These are things with character, memory, or simply the right detail.

Small codes

Contemporary good manners without a ruler across the knuckles. Gestures, restraint, and the rules that work best when they do not look like rules.

Scents & sensations

A smell, a fabric, a certain light. Sometimes we remember an atmosphere before we remember what we were wearing.

They appear when needed. Sometimes they help. Sometimes they only make you smile. None has been clinically tested.

01

If you have to read a message six times to understand what it meant, it probably didn’t mean enough.

02

Never go to the supermarket hungry. The same applies to men.

03

Some days working on yourself matters. On others, working on the mascarpone is quite enough.

A matter of where you sit.

Amanda Lear says the secret to looking beautiful is always to sit next to someone uglier.

I only have one question:
what if the person next to you is using the same technique?

Remake the bed.

“You’ve made your bed, now lie in it.”

Fine.
But nobody said you have to sleep in it forever.

Capri necklace worn with a white linen shirt

MOREL’S CAPSULE

CAPRI

Warm wood. Turquoise. Stone.
Late afternoon, somewhere in Capri.

This necklace was not made from new materials. I created it by taking apart necklaces and bracelets bought on different journeys, in different years.

Every element is a fragment of a place and a moment: a shard of memory, removed from its original object and set in motion again.

By bringing them together, I did not erase their stories. I adapted them until they could live within a single piece.

Capri is made of memories dismantled, reimagined and joined together.

For me, elegance is not about showing off. It is not the label and it is not the price. It is knowing how to put things together, even things of little value, and choosing the small details that make the difference.

Capri, with its warm wood, turquoise and stone, I wear with a simple white linen shirt, left natural and freshly dried, without chasing the perfection of an iron.

Cream linen trousers.
Leather sandals.

Skin still warm from the sun.

One spray of Hermès Vetiver. Not a shower.

The rest is unnecessary.
